Did you see a $15 "charge" on your Bank Statement After using you credit or debit card at a self service location?

You have nothing to worry about! All self service car washes that have credit/debit card options do a pre-authorization charge to your account... Confirming you have at least $15... This is how much "rope" we give you to wash or vacuum your car.   If you wash $5 worth .... The difference of $15  (which is $10) will be credited back to your card within about 1-3 business days depending on your bank. Or if you use the vacuum there is a same pre authorization process. If you notice on your bank statement it says "pending" next to the $15... and that will change when it's settled.
We as the car wash do not benefit one penny from this process and you as the customer does not lose one penny... It's simply the way the banking process works. We have signs In all wash bays and vacuum's explaining this.
